The BP Challenge 2010

Open to all Primary, Intermediate and Years 9-10 Students

Introduction:  The BP Zoo Challenge

Does your school have any budding technologists who may be interested in designing an enrichment 'toy' for the Sumatran tigers or alternatively the parrot species - maccaw, kea or cockatoo?

Over the last few years increasing numbers of young designers have submitted innovative ideas for enriching animals' lives at Hamilton Zoo.  BP Oil and the Royal Society of New Zealand have generously sponsored the competition and your school stands to win substantial prizes.

Why not check out the details of the competition and make it part of your technology programme?

Task:

Design and/or construct a model or a prototype of an enrichment 'toy' suitable for the Sumantran tigers or the parrot species and document the process you went through.
