Current programmes and resources

Each of these resource booklets are available at two levels: junior primary and primary / intermediate.

  • Keeping Covered (classification):

·         Forest Lives (adaptation):

    animals adapted to flying or climbing, forest habitats

  • Grasslands (adaptation):

    animals of the grasslands, grassland habitats

Each of these resources are available at the level indicated.

·         Juniors: Working in the zoo. Social studies links.

·         Middle: Enclosure design. Technology links.

·         Upper: Zoos: Past, present, future. Social studies, Science, English links.

We have a range of videos, kits and displays that may be used during Zoo lessons. Most lessons are taken outside, using the Zoo animals and their enclosures as the resource. We have a classroom and a collection of interesting objects to include in lessons.
