Project Bunty
It’s time for some home improvements and we need your help!
Hamilton Zoo plays a vitally important role in breeding white rhino in Australasia.
Hamilton Zoo has successfully bred five of the eight white rhino born in New Zealand – an achievement we’re very proud of!
We now hope to provide more opportunities for our visitors to experience the rhinos up close. We urgently need to build an additional home for the herd which will shelter the rhinos overnight during wet weather and make it easier to feed the animals on public display during the colder, wet months.
Local business Versatile Buildings is providing a discount on the “Versatile Stand Tough” farm building required, with free installation. Friends of the Zoo has raised $11,000 towards the project while Fonterra Brands has contributed $3,000 thanks to their Tip Top range.
We’re now calling on you to pitch in and help us raise the remaining $10,000 needed.
