Hamilton Zoo is a living classroom; the learning possibilities are endless – from writing, design, mathematics to conservation and sustainability.
Our Education team provides:
- Curriculum based education designed to meet individual class requirements
- A stimulating and interactive classroom with loads to see, learn and touch!
- Friendly and knowledgeable NZ trained and registered teachers
Your visit to the Zoo might come at the start of your unit to generate interest, questions and thinking; or in the middle, after students have engaged in some exploration of facts and ideas. Even if your visit is the culmination of an entire unit of study, the experience will inevitably generate plenty of discussion and reflection that will lead to deeper learning.
Talk with our Education team to help make your visit a memorable one.
