Our animals

Hamilton Zoo is home to over 600 native New Zealand and exotic animals.

Hamilton Zoo includes the largest free flight aviary in Australasia. We have over 50 bird species, both native and exotic.

We have two great reptile houses here at Hamilton Zoo.

The zoo has a wide variety of mammals, including our unique herd of White Rhino.

Hamilton Zoo are the carers for two rare and endangered frog species.

No two zebras have stripes that are exactly alike.
